Question How do I know if my computer supports JavaScript?

Answer

If your browser doesn't support JavaScript or you have a very old version, you should consider upgrading to a recent version. We need at least Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3 or Netscape Navigator version 3, running at least JavaScript version 1.1.
America Online Internet Explorer Netscape Navigator Opera Browser

If your browser supports JavaScript, you can activate it. Note that some people (and some business offices) do not allow JavaScript for security reasons. In my opinion, JavaScript is perfectly safe, whereas Java programs and ActiveX controls present risks.

In AOL,
  1.   check the America Online documentation.

In Microsoft Explorer,
  1.   check the Microsoft documentation.

In Netscape Navigator,
  1.   click on Options in the top menu line,
  2.   select Network preferences... and
  3.   click on the Languages tab.
  4.   Click on Enable JavaScript to put an X in the box
  5.   and click on the OK button.

In Opera,
  1.   click on Preferences in the top menu line,
  2.   select Multimedia...,
  3.   click on Enable Scripting Languages to put an X in the box
  4.   click on Allow Window Create to put an X in the box
  5.   and click on the OK button.

Question I am having trouble printing the web page. What can I do?

Answer If your browser won't print the Web page, chances are there isn't enough memory available. Netscape needs a lot of memory. If you shut down other programs, you can usually then print. Sometimes you must also clear the caches (see above). And, sometimes you have to shut down your computer and start over. I've always been able to print sooner or later. (By the way, this is an old-computer problem.)

An alternative is to select (highlight) the report in your browser window, go the the Edit menu and choose ->: Copy. Open a blank document in your Word Processing program or Text Editor, go to the Edit menu, and choose -> Paste. You may need to copy-and-paste your report in several pieces to get it all. Save your report as a ".TXT" file, and print.

Question I am having trouble saving the web page. What can I do?

Answer Some browsers won't save a report you ordered from our Scopes Mart properly. Remember, if you have provided the correct email address, you will receive the text version of your report in your email.

You can also select (highlight) the report in your browser window, go the the Edit menu and choose ->: Copy. Open a blank document in your Word Processing program or Text Editor, go to the Edit menu again, and choose ->: Paste. You may need to copy-and-paste your report in several pieces to get it all. Save your report as a ".TXT" file.
