About browsers

So many different browsers "out there."
That's a good thing.
But it complicates webmaster's lives.

Basically there are three types of browsers to consider:
those that handle iframe (MSIE, NAV6, Opera, WebTV),
those that handle ilayer (NAV4),
and those that handle neither (old, strange).

This HTML fragment shows how we can support all three types:

    <iframe ...><ilayer ...><a ...>link text</a></ilayer></iframe>

It works because browsers that handle iframe will ignore tags between
its opening and closing tags. Likewise for the ilayer browsers.
