Volvo EX30 October 2026: Price Drops to TL 2,472,390, Plus the Real Cost of Charging Its 475 km Range at 153 kW
Most October price lists brought increases. Volvo went the other way and cut the price of the EX30, its smallest electric model in Turkey. The 2027 model year EX30 P4 Long Range cost TL 2,485,390 in September. The October list puts it at TL 2,472,390. The dual-motor P8 AWD and the EX30 Cross Country are both TL 36,000 cheaper.
Next to the list price, the cut is small. It still makes the EX30 one of the strongest electric SUVs around the TL 2.5 million mark. Below we cover current prices, range and battery data, how it compares with rivals, and the question people ask most: how long does an EX30 take to charge at a public station, and how much does it cost?
Volvo EX30 October 2026 Price List
Volvo Turkey sells the EX30 only in Ultra trim. These are the recommended on-the-road prices for October 2026:
| Version | Power | September 2026 | October 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EX30 Ultra P4 Long Range | 150 kW / 204 hp | TL 2,485,390 | TL 2,472,390 | -TL 13,000 |
| EX30 Ultra P8 AWD | 315 kW / 428 hp | TL 3,825,072 | TL 3,789,072 | -TL 36,000 |
| EX30 Cross Country Ultra P8 AWD | 315 kW / 428 hp | TL 3,986,016 | TL 3,950,016 | -TL 36,000 |
Volvo did not announce separate promotional prices or option prices for these versions in October.
What really stands out in the table is the gap between the two versions, not the discount. The single-motor P4 and the dual-motor P8 are more than TL 1.3 million apart. Most of that gap comes from the special consumption tax (ÖTV) bracket, which depends on motor power and the taxable base, rather than from the extra performance. In Turkey, the tax bracket often decides an EV's price more than its equipment does. For everyday driving, the P4's 204 hp is more than enough for this class.
Specs: Battery, Range and Charging Power
The Long Range and dual-motor EX30 use the same battery:
- Battery: 69 kWh gross. Turkish press data puts usable capacity at about 64 kWh.
- WLTP range (P4 Long Range): up to 475 km
- WLTP range (P8 AWD): about 450 km
- DC fast charging: up to 153 kW (some press sources give a higher peak)
- 10-80% DC charging time: about 26-28 minutes
- AC charging: 11 kW onboard charger, a full charge takes about 7-8 hours
- WLTP combined consumption: about 17 kWh/100 km
The P8 AWD does 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, making the EX30 one of the quickest cars Volvo has ever built. Because the battery is the same, it has no range or charging advantage over the P4. The extra motor actually cuts its range by about 25 km.
What does 475 km mean in practice?
WLTP figures come from mixed driving in mild conditions. In real-world driving in Turkey, expect roughly:
- City and mixed driving, mild weather: 400-450 km
- Motorway at 110-120 km/h: 330-370 km
- Winter, cold mornings, motorway with climate control on: can drop to around 300 km
The EX30 is a compact SUV. Its light body is efficient in town, but the short, tall shape adds drag at motorway speeds. On long trips, plan around 330-350 km.
How It Compares With Rivals
The TL 2.2-2.5 million bracket is the most crowded part of Turkey's EV market. Here's how the EX30 compares:
| Model | Price (TL) | WLTP range | 10-80% DC time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volvo EX30 P4 Long Range | 2,472,390 | 475 km | ~26-28 min |
| Volvo EX30 P8 AWD | 3,789,072 | ~450 km | ~26-28 min |
| Peugeot E-2008 | 2,245,000 | 406 km | ~30 min |
| Hyundai KONA Electric (48.4 kWh) | 2,270,000 | — | ~41 min |
| Kia EV3 | ~2.4 million (September) | 604 km | ~31 min |
| Tesla Model Y (entry) | 2,474,985 | varies by version | — |
Prices are from October 2026 price lists, except the Kia EV3, which uses its September 2026 price. Check with an authorized dealer for exact prices.
Three things stand out:
- It doesn't lead on range. For about the same money, the Kia EV3 offers 130 km more WLTP range.
- It's ahead of the class on charging speed. At about 26-28 minutes for 10-80%, it's a little quicker than the E-2008 and much quicker than the entry-level KONA.
- You get a premium badge. For almost exactly the price of an entry-level Tesla Model Y, you get a smaller but premium city SUV. The Model Y is the roomier family car. The EX30 suits drivers who want something easy to park and maneuver in town.
Charging: How Long and How Much at a Public Station?
This section matters to anyone buying or driving an EX30. Our calculations use about 64 kWh of usable battery and consumption of 17-20 kWh/100 km. For pricing we used rates common at public stations: DC TL 13.40/kWh, AC TL 9.40/kWh. Prices vary by operator.
DC fast charging (motorways, malls, supermarkets)
| Scenario | Energy | Time | Approx. cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10% → 80% | ~45 kWh | ~26-28 min | ~TL 600 |
| 20% → 80% | ~38 kWh | ~22-25 min | ~TL 515 |
| 10% → 100% | ~58 kWh | 45 min+ | ~TL 775 |
The last row is a warning. Charging power drops sharply above 80%. The final 20% can take nearly as long as the first 70%. On a road trip, the most efficient approach is to arrive at 10-20%, leave at 80% and carry on to your next stop.
To see the full 153 kW peak, you need a DC charger rated at 150 kW or more. The EX30 charges fine on 60-120 kW units too, it just takes longer. On a 60 kW charger, 10-80% can take 45-50 minutes. Battery temperature matters as well. On cold mornings, power can be low for the first few minutes. A battery that has warmed up over a few hours of motorway driving charges fastest.
AC charging (workplaces, residential complexes, car parks, malls)
The EX30's 11 kW onboard charger draws 11 kW even when plugged into a 22 kW AC unit.
| Scenario | Energy | Time | Approx. cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20% → 100% | ~51 kWh | ~5-6 hours | ~TL 480 |
| 0% → 100% | ~64 kWh | ~7-8 hours | ~TL 600 |
AC charging is the cheapest option wherever the car will be parked for hours anyway: at work, in a residential car park or overnight.
Cost per 100 km
- AC only: 17-20 kWh × TL 9.40 ≈ TL 160-190 per 100 km
- DC only: 17-20 kWh × TL 13.40 ≈ TL 230-270 per 100 km
For a driver covering 1,500 km a month, charging costs about TL 2,400-2,800 if it's mostly AC and about TL 3,400-4,000 if it's all DC. Most drivers mix the two. Topping up on AC once a week and stopping at DC chargers in between keeps the budget in check.
Road trip example: Istanbul to Ankara
On this roughly 450 km route, an EX30 leaving at 100% and averaging 110-120 km/h needs one DC stop. A 20-25 minute charge around Bolu, arriving at 15-20%, is enough to reach Ankara comfortably. That stop costs about TL 450-550 and takes about as long as a coffee and restroom break.
Who Should Buy It?
The EX30 P4 Long Range makes sense if:
- You drive mostly in the city and value a compact size and easy parking
- You want a premium brand and a strong safety package around TL 2.5 million
- You're comfortable with quick DC stops on long trips
Look at another model if:
- Boot and rear-seat space are your priority (the EX30's rear is among the smallest in its class)
- You want the longest possible range between charges (the Kia EV3 leads here)
- You're considering the P8 AWD for performance: the TL 1.3 million gap is too big to pay off in everyday driving
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does the Volvo EX30 cost in October 2026? The EX30 Ultra P4 Long Range costs TL 2,472,390, the EX30 Ultra P8 AWD TL 3,789,072 and the EX30 Cross Country Ultra P8 AWD TL 3,950,016. All three are cheaper than in September: TL 13,000 off the P4 and TL 36,000 off the dual-motor versions.
How long does the Volvo EX30 take to charge from 10% to 80%? About 26-28 minutes on a DC charger rated at 150 kW or more. On lower-power DC units (60-90 kW), it can take 35-50 minutes. A full charge on 11 kW AC takes about 7-8 hours.
How much does it cost to charge an EX30 at a public station? A 10-80% DC charge adds about 45 kWh, or about TL 600 at TL 13.40/kWh. On AC at TL 9.40/kWh, a full charge from empty costs about TL 600 and 20-100% about TL 480.
What is the EX30's real-world range? The WLTP figure for the P4 Long Range is 475 km. In real driving, expect 400-450 km in mixed use and 330-370 km on the motorway at 110-120 km/h. Cold weather lowers these figures a little further.
Verdict
The October cut is small, but for TL 2.47 million the EX30 P4 Long Range gives you a premium brand, 475 km of WLTP range and some of the fastest DC charging in its class. Where it falls short on range, its roughly 27-minute 10-80% charge makes up most of the gap. The dual-motor version, though, makes little sense for most drivers because of its tax bracket.
