Turkey's electric car market keeps growing. In September 2026, 15,074 electric cars were sold, about 23.65% of the total car market. Even with all that choice, one gap is still open for larger families: an affordable electric SUV that can take a third row of seats. The Kia EV9 and Hyundai IONIQ 9 are in this class, but both cost more than 6 million TL.

The Peugeot E-5008 fills that gap. It appears as the "New E-5008" in the October 2026 price list and starts at 3.57 million TL. This article covers the price list, what the options really add, what the range figures mean in practice and, most importantly, how long it takes to charge at public stations in Turkey and how much it costs.

Peugeot E-5008 October 2026 Price List

In Peugeot Turkey's October 2026 list, the E-5008 comes in two trim levels. Both use the same electric motor: 157 kW (210 hp).

TrimMotorOn-the-Road PricePromotion
Allure157 kW (210 hp), front-wheel drive3,573,500 TLNone
GT157 kW (210 hp), front-wheel drive3,717,000 TLNone

For comparison, the August 2026 list had the Allure at 3,502,000 TL and the GT at 3,644,000 TL. That's an increase of roughly 71,000-73,000 TL on both trims in two months. No promotional price has been announced for October.

Note: 7 seats are optional, not standard

This is the detail buyers most often miss: in the Turkish price list, the 7-seat layout is an option. According to the price list:

Option25% SCT bracket55% SCT bracket
7 Seats (Allure, GT)56,452 TL70,000 TL
Metallic Paint10,417 TL12,917 TL
Nappa Leather Seats (GT only)69,444 TL86,111 TL

So if the third row is the main reason you want the E-5008, add another 56,000-70,000 TL to your budget. Options are priced in two separate Special Consumption Tax (SCT) columns because they raise the car's taxable base. Before ordering, ask the dealer which tax bracket your configuration will fall into.

Why does the range figure vary between sources?

Three range figures are in circulation for the E-5008: 472 km, 500 km and 502 km. There is a reason for this. When the car went on sale in Turkey in November 2024, its range was announced as 472 km. Current European databases list about 500-502 km WLTP for the same 73 kWh battery. The difference most likely comes from wheel size, trim and the homologation period.

In practice, keep this in mind: WLTP is measured in mixed, mild conditions. Drive a fully loaded 7-seat SUV at 120 km/h on the motorway in winter and real consumption rises to around 19-22 kWh/100 km. That gives you roughly 330-380 km of real motorway range from the 73 kWh battery. In town and in mild weather, going beyond 450 km is possible.

E-5008 vs Rivals: 7-Seat Electric SUV Comparison

Kia EV96,540,000 TL (6,340,000 TL on promotion)~100 kWhabout 500 km800V architectureYes

Prices are from the October 2026 Turkish price lists. IONIQ 9 and EV9 specifications vary by version, so approximate values are given.

The picture is clear: the E-5008 is one of the most affordable electric SUVs in Turkey that can take a third row. It costs about 2.5-3 million TL less than the two 7-seat rivals. In return, you get a smaller battery and a 400-volt-class charging system instead of 800 volts. The IONIQ 9 and EV9 can go from 10% to 80% in about 24 minutes at a suitable station. The E-5008 needs about 36 minutes.

Compared with the E-3008: same motor and battery, a 189,000 TL price difference. For that, you get a longer body, a bigger boot and the 7-seat option. The trade-off is slightly less range.

Charging the E-5008 at Public Stations

DC fast charging: the scenario you'll use most on the road

The E-5008 accepts up to 160 kW. Plug into a DC station rated at 180 kW or more and the car can reach its own limit. However, you'll only see that power within a narrow charge window. Once the battery passes 50-60%, power tapers off gradually.

Practical times (approximate):

  • 10% → 80%: about 36 minutes (warm battery, 160 kW+ station)
  • 20% → 80%: about 30 minutes
  • 10% → 80% at a 60 kW DC station: about 55-60 minutes

Winter tip: A cold battery won't accept high power in the first few minutes. On long trips, set the charging station as your navigation destination and the car will try to precondition the battery. This shortens charging time noticeably.

AC charging: shopping malls, hotels, residential car parks

The E-5008's on-board charger is rated at 11 kW, so even on a 22 kW AC socket the car won't draw more than 11 kW. Filling an empty battery on AC takes about 7-8 hours. That makes AC charging ideal when the car is parked overnight or through a working day. Two hours of shopping adds about 20-22 kWh to the battery, or roughly 100-110 km of range.

Charging Cost: The Numbers in TL

Per-kWh prices at public stations in Turkey vary by operator. To keep the calculation concrete, we use example tariffs of DC 13.40 TL/kWh and AC 9.40 TL/kWh. On top of the energy going into the battery, we assumed about 7-8% charging losses.

ScenarioEnergy drawn from the gridExample tariffApproximate cost
DC 10% → 80%~55 kWh13.40 TL/kWh~740 TL
DC 20% → 80%~47 kWh13.40 TL/kWh~630 TL
AC 10% → 100%~71 kWh9.40 TL/kWh~670 TL
AC 2-hour shopping stop~21 kWh9.40 TL/kWh~200 TL

Cost per 100 km

Assuming a realistic mixed-use consumption of 19 kWh/100 km:

  • DC charging only: about 255 TL per 100 km
  • AC charging only: about 180 TL per 100 km

A family driving 1,500 km a month pays about 2,700 TL per month if they charge mostly on AC, and about 3,800 TL if they use DC only. A petrol 7-seat SUV of the same size costs considerably more at current fuel prices. The real savings come once AC charging becomes part of your routine.

Example road trip: Istanbul → Ankara (~450 km)

Leaving with a full battery, the E-5008 realistically covers 330-380 km on the motorway. So the Istanbul–Ankara trip needs one DC stop. If you arrive at around 15% halfway through and charge to 70%, the stop takes about 25-30 minutes and costs around 550 TL. That leaves a comfortable margin to reach Ankara. With a full car in winter, planning a second short stop makes the journey more relaxed.

Who Is It For, and Who Should Look Elsewhere?

A good fit for:

  • Families with three children or who often carry guests (with the 7-seat option)
  • Drivers with access to AC charging at home, at work or in their residential complex
  • Drivers who take one or two long trips a week and don't mind a 30-35 minute charging stop

Less of a fit for:

  • Drivers who are constantly on the motorway and want charging stops under 20 minutes (800-volt rivals are faster here)
  • Anyone who doesn't need 7 seats: the same technical package is about 189,000 TL cheaper in the E-3008

How much does it cost to charge the E-5008 at a public station?

At an example DC tariff of 13.40 TL/kWh, a 10-80% charge costs about 740 TL. At an AC tariff of 9.40 TL/kWh, charging from 10% to 100% costs about 670 TL. The actual amount depends on your operator's tariff and charging losses.

Conclusion

The Peugeot E-5008 is currently one of the most realistic choices in Turkey for families who want a 7-seat electric SUV but can't stretch to the 6-million-TL rivals. Its 73 kWh battery and 160 kW charging won't break records. But it handles daily use comfortably on AC and long trips with a single DC stop. Just remember that the 7 seats are an option and add to the price.
