ADZE Charge
Three partnership models
MODEL 1

I have the site, I fund it myself

You put up both the space and the capital. What you get from us is the sub-licence, the network software and the day-to-day operation. The charger is yours, the revenue is yours; we are simply the operator.

Who does what

You do

  • You provide the area — owned or held under a right of use
  • You finance the charger and the installation
  • The electricity subscription and bill stay with you
  • Post-warranty maintenance costs are yours

ADZE does

  • Sub-licence — you never file your own licence application
  • Network software, tariff management, collection
  • 24/7 monitoring and remote intervention
  • Customer call centre and complaint handling
  • Survey, build coordination, commissioning
  • Monthly energy, sales and settlement report

How the money reaches you

The driver pays by card; collection runs through ADZE. At month-end your sales are calculated, our operating share is deducted and the remainder is transferred to you.

The collection risk is yours

Because the charger and the sale are yours, so is the risk of amounts that cannot be collected. We chase them and add them to your settlement once collected; but we do not guarantee uncollected amounts. Only realised collection enters your settlement. We say this up front because the contract will say it too.

What our share is calculated on

In this model our operating share is calculated on turnover excluding VAT. Because the electricity cost stays with you, the share applies to the sales figure before electricity is deducted.

We don't publish the rate. It varies with the scope of service and the site's volume, so we give it in conversation, in a written offer.

Things to watch in this model

The electricity tariff is yours

Subscription type and tariff vary from site to site. In the survey we work out your site's actual tariff; it is the single item that determines your gross profit.

Maintenance after the warranty

Chargers carry a 2-year warranty with maintenance included. After that, parts and labour are yours; a comprehensive maintenance package can be priced separately if you want one.

Your right to use the site

The payback period should not run longer than your right to use the area. We discuss the remaining term of your lease from the outset.

When your investment pays back

Because the electricity cost stays with you, your gross profit depends directly on your tariff. The periods below are bands derived from the four-year trend of our own sites.

BUSY LOCATION

Year 2

High daily traffic, plenty of EVs around it.

AVERAGE LOCATION

Year 3

Steady but limited traffic. Grows over time.

WEAK LOCATION

Never

Too little traffic. We don't recommend investing here.

Year 4

Energy sold per year (kWh). A band derived from the real trend of our own DC sites; on average a 1.8× rise from year one to year two, then a plateau.

Payback in this model

ADZE's share is at its lowest here because both the site and the investment are yours. In exchange, the electricity cost and post-warranty maintenance also stay with you. Net payback is given after the survey, as two scenarios.

Electricity cost varies by region

Subscription type, distribution region and the power drawn produce a different unit cost at every site. In this model you pay the bill, so the difference lands directly on your gross profit — which is why we measure your tariff on site during the survey.

Questions specific to this model

Do I need a licence to install a charging station?

You can obtain your own, but the application and operating obligations are heavy. In this model you work under a sub-licence: the licence and operations stay with us and you focus on the return.

Who pays the electricity bill?

In this model the subscription and the bill are yours. That is why our share is calculated on turnover before electricity — your tariff becomes the item that determines your gross profit, and we establish it during the survey.

What happens to maintenance after the warranty?

Chargers carry a 2-year warranty with maintenance included. After that, parts and labour are yours. If you prefer, we offer a comprehensive maintenance package for a higher operating share; parts, caps and scope are defined in writing.

Who owns the charger?

You do. Because you make the investment, the charger is in your ownership throughout; it stays yours even if the contract ends.

What if a customer doesn't pay?

Collection is by card and happens as soon as the session ends, so it is rare. Even so, sessions can be reversed or go uncollected. Because the charger and the sale are yours, that risk is yours; we chase it and add it to your settlement once collected. Only realised collection enters your settlement.
